HostMade is the encore act of The Guild, an STR brand that launched in 2016 and grew to 600 units across six markets. Over the years, we honed a marketing playbook that would grow our direct bookings rate to over 70%. Meanwhile, we were struggling to add new locations and scale the service culture
In late 2022, my co-founder Brian and I decided to “get all existential & sh*t”, at least that was the title of the calendar invite. After an hour of spirited debate, the course became clear… do more of what’s working, less of what’s not.
What if we could share our direct bookings playbook with other hosts? And so HostMade was born. Throughout 2023, we’ve met dozens of hosts, listened to their goals, stories, pain points and what keeps them up at night.
In March, we welcomed our first batch of HostMade members. We've already learned so much this experience and look forward to the opportunity to work alongside more great hosts in the months and years ahead.
